 This email was sent by George Watt ‘73, President of the Alumni Association, announcing a new web site that is of interest to both parents and alumni. Even if you are not a parent of a current of former midshipman, there is information on this web site that might be of use to you from time to time.  I suggest you bookmark it in your “favorite places” on your computer.  Here is George’s announcement:

”I am very pleased to introduce a major new and exciting communications tool for United States Naval Academy Parents worldwide, our alumni and many friends. The Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation has launched a website specifically designed to support families of midshipmen:  http://USNAparents.com

The content and context of the information provided on USNAParents.com is coordinated with the Naval Academy Public Affairs Office and originates directly from the Communication's Division of the Alumni Association and Foundation.  This provides parents with safe, reliable news from an official and known source.  It is also noteworthy that USNAParents.com is the first official United States service academy website independently focused on information for parents. USNAParents.com provides news, information, communications services, and a wide host of other great features that I am certain parents, midshipmen, alumni and all our "Extended Brigade" will both appreciate and enjoy. 

Academy leadership will be using this new communications tool to directly convey news of immediate importance to parents concerning life on the Yard, special events, academic and professional development policies and administration viewpoints.  Our alumni will find many features on day to day life at the Academy above and beyond our coverage on www.usna.com.     

Please join us and provide feedback -- so that USNAParents.com may serve our Extended Brigade even better in the future.  Our objective is to grow our informed advocates who support today's Naval Academy and Brigade of Midshipmen.”
