2004 **** I respectfully request your support and re-nomination for the job of Central Region Trustee for the USNA Alumni Association for a second and final term. Please read this request and then print and send me a completed Nominating Petition (Alumni Association rules only permit original copies to be counted). I use the word "job", as I did in February 2002 when I first petitioned you, because I believe the position carries responsibilities for me to represent each of you to the best of my ability. I wish to continue to make a difference for all of us-and I assure you that I will continue to try. CONTINUEING PLATFORM: To seek, on an ongoing basis, inputs of what you like, and what you want changed--with the Alumni Association and the Academy--and to represent your thoughtful views. I believe that a Trustee must represent the considered views of others to carry out his duties responsibly. I pledge to represent Central Region Members well--to be available in person, by phone, or by email throughout my second term--and to feedback progress periodically. SOME FIRST TERM ACCOMPLISHMENTS: I believe that I carried out the above platform since taking office in May 2002; Issued 68 Central Region Newsletters in those 27 months which solicited input on issues and Trustee votes and kept you informed of Association and Academy activities; Conducted my newsletter and web site archive service at my own expense; Helped lead a successful effort to change the Bylaws and Operating Manual to place a Regional Trustee on the BOT Executive Committee to represent your views; Served on the BOT Nominating Committee and Other Chapter Trustee Selection Committee; Worked with Chapters and individuals in the Central Region to inform them, listen to them, and interface with both the Alumni Association and Academy on requests they made of me; Developed sound relationships with many of the other Trustees to make progress; Continued to serve as a Foundation Trustee (Athletics & Scholarships) and advise you of its activities as well as those of the Alumni Association.
